International Day of Forests or World Forestry Day is celebrated on 21 March every year. This day celebrates and raises awareness of the importance of all types of forests.
On this day, countries are encouraged to undertake local, national and international efforts to organise activities involving forests and trees, such as tree-planting campaigns.

- This year, the International Day of Forests promotes forests and health.
- Forests are really important to us!
- They make sure our water is clean and our air is fresh.
- They also help stop bad things from happening to our planet.
- We get yummy food and medicine from forests, too.
- It’s our job to take care of forests so they can keep helping us.
- In 2023, we need to remember to give back to the forests, not just take from them.
- When the forests are healthy, we are healthy too!
