Museum of the Future

A new museum “Museum of the Future” opened on February 22 in Dubai. It’s a place to show off new and future ideas, services, and products. The officials said: “It is an architectural and engineering spectacle of new art forms with cutting-edge technology.”

Structure

Museum of the Future is a seven-story, egg-shaped structure that doesn’t have any pillars. The building houses a permanent exhibit of technologies of the future. It stands 77 metres tall.

Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, said it was “the most beautiful building on the earth.” As per the officials, the museum is a mix of an exhibition, immersive theatre, and a themed attraction.

‘The future belongs to those who can imagine, design, and build it.’ This is written in Arabic calligraphy on its stainless steel exterior.

The shape of the museum is a symbol: This is what the building looks like: a circle. The green mound it stands on represents the earth, and the void is the future.

Spaces

The museum has a lot of different floors that focus on different things, like natural ecosystem and science and engineering, as well as near-future technologies. The officials claim that the technologies could help us with things like health, water, and food.

Each floor is like a movie set from the future that you can live in, explore, and interact with, just like in a movie theatre.

They also have a space for kids called “Future Heroes.” A lot of fun and educational games will be played with kids. They will be able to communicate with each other and be creative.

The website says that the museum is also environmentally friendly because it gets 4,000 megawatt-hours of solar power a year from a solar park.
