Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the country’s first Digital Science Park in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.  The park is a multidisciplinary cluster-based project. It will provide a platform for startups, research labs, and digital incubators.

  • The project aims to facilitate industry and technology start-ups.
  • It would focus in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, robotics, electronics, and smart hardware.
  • The Digital Science Park will be equipped with state-of-the-art research labs and facilities.
  • For instance like cleanrooms, electronic design centres, and cybersecurity labs.
  • The park will cover an area of 10 lakh sq. ft. in two blocks and cost INR 1,500 crore.
  • The inauguration of the park will take place on 25 April.
  • Further, it is set to begin operations from 10,000 sq. ft space in Kabani located in Technopark Phase IV.
  • The project aspires to create job opportunities in the field of science and technology.
  • Importantly, it will help India to become a hub of innovation.
  • The Digital Science Park will be a major step towards the development of the country!
  • It will encourage the youth of India to pursue science and technology as a career.
