Rajasthan harbours the World’s Tallest Shiva Statue!

Rajasthan unveiled the “tallest” Shiva statue. Nathdwara’s 369-foot statue. Religious, spiritual, and cultural celebrations will continue until November 6. The statue took a decade to build. Viswas Swaroopam, a 108-meter Shiva monument, opened to public viewing on October 29. 

Who is Lord Shiva?

Lord Shiva is the third Hindu god who is believed to be the destroyer of the world. In Hindu mythology, the other two gods in charge of making, taking care of are Brahma and Vishnu respectively.

This is the world’s tallest Shiva statue. Nine days will feature religious, spiritual, and cultural events. As per authorities, the monument’s meditative stance can resist 250 kph winds.

Bungee jumping and go-karts will be some of the attractions for the public at the event.

  • The world’s tallest statue of Lord Shiva – “Viswas Swaroopam”-, 369 feet tall, was unveiled in Nathdwara, Rajasthan.
  • Tat Padam Sansthan built the statue 45 kilometres from Udaipur.
  • After the statue unveils religious, spiritual, and cultural celebrations will take place daily until November 6.
  • The statue is constructed on a hill of 51 bighas and is fashioned in the form of a meditating figure
  • It is reported that one can see the statue from a distance of twenty kilometres.
  • Because it has been illuminated with unique lighting, the statue can also be seen very clearly when it is dark outside.

  • There may have been as many as 3,000 tonnes worth of steel and iron utilised in the building, along with as much as 2. 5 lakh cubic tonnes worth of concrete and sand.

  • According to officials the statue has been created to last for the next 250 years and can withstand wind speeds of up to 250 km per hour.
