Saudi Arabia announces a training programme to send a female astronaut into space in 2023. As part of the Vision 2030 plan for the kingdom, the programme will be put into place.

In 2018, Saudi Arabia ended a ban on women getting driver’s licences that had been in place for decades.

  • It will send Saudi astronauts into space to help better serve humanity.
  • Also, the plan calls for the conservative Muslim country to hire more women into the workforce.
  • The United Arab Emirates plans to send up its first lunar rover in November 2023.
  • If the moon mission is successful, the United Arab Emirates and Japan will join a few selected countries that have successfully landed a spacecraft on the moon.
  • These countries include the United States, Russia, and China.
