T20 Semi-Final – NZ vs Pakistan!

In the T20 Semi-Final between New Zealand and Pakistan, Babar and Rizwan each got 50 runs, which helped Pakistan win by seven wickets.

Pakistan stepped up their game when it mattered most and beat New Zealand by seven wickets on Wednesday to move into the T20 World Cup final.

The game between Pakistan and New Zealand took place in Sydney at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).

Despite this, Pakistan got off to a strong start, with their opening pair contributing 105 runs to the total.

After that, Mohammad Haris scored 30 runs off of 26, effectively putting an end to New Zealand’s chances.

  • After deciding to bat first, New Zealand lost both of its opening batsmen during the Powerplay.
  • Glenn Phillips was out for a low score.
  • Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell then led the comeback.
  • They worked together to score 68 runs before they were separated.
  • New Zealand got to a respectable 152/4 when Williamson was run out after scoring 46 runs.
  • Mitchell, on the other hand, kept batting and scored 53 runs off 35 deliveries without being out.
  • With an opening stand of more than 100 runs, Pakistani openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan effectively eliminated New Zealand from the competition. 
  • Before being caught out off the bowling of Mitchell Santner, Mohammad Haris saw the game through to its conclusion.
  • This ensured that Pakistan was on the verge of claiming victory in the match.
  • Shan Masood scored the runs that proved to be the game-winning ones for Pakistan in the 20th over of the match.
  • This led to Pakistan’s victory by seven wickets.
