The world’s highest rock music museum

Do you like rock music? Then you may want to visit the Rock Music Museum in Munich, the capital of Germany. This museum is probably one of the world’s highest museums; it’s at least the world’s highest rock museum.

It is 190 metres above ground, located at the top of the Olympic Tower. When entering the tower on ground level, there are already some exhibition items on display.

To get to the world’s highest rock music museum, you have to purchase a lift tour to the top of the tower. This is a good idea as the view from up there is mind-blowing. Not only for an amazing view of the city of Munich but also for the panoramic outlook with the Alp mountains being pretty close.

The museum itself shows a collection of items documenting rock history of more than 70 years. From original guitars to backstage passes, concert posters, and unique tickets, all kinds of items are on display. If you’re lucky there might be even a special event ongoing such as autograph sessions or star talks and interviews.

Rock music in Germany

Germany has some of the most renowned composers, singers, producers, and performers in the world. This is the largest music market in Europe and the third-largest in the world. It also hosts many large rock music festivals.
