Rain’s Chaotic Pranks: North India’s Deluge!

  • You won’t believe it, but there were landslides and floods caused by heavy downpour in North India. Imagine raindrops acting like mischievous pranksters, triggering chaos all around! The rain was so misbehaved that 16 people sadly lost their lives. 
  • In Jammu and Kashmir, two brave soldiers got caught in the rain. They were washed away in flash floods while crossing a mountainous stream. One soldier, Lance Naik Telu Ram, got swept away, and another soldier, Naib Subedar Kuldeep Singh, tried to save him but unfortunately lost his life too. It’s like a scene straight out of an action-packed movie, but with a surprising and sad twist.
  • Just when you thought the rain couldn’t cause any more trouble, a landslide struck a bus in Jammu’s Doda district. Can you believe it? The rain was playing such a mean trick that two people lost their lives in the landslide. 
  • In Kashmir, the downpour even challenged the Navy to a hide-and-seek game. A special Navy team joined the search for a little girl who drowned in a river. Three other kids also drowned in the rain’s mischief. 
  • The rain didn’t spare the famous Pahalgam either. It poured so much that it broke a record from 1983! That’s right, the rain showed off by recording its highest-ever rainfall in July. 
  • From all these stories, it’s clear that heavy rain in North India can be a mischievous troublemaker. It can cause landslides, floods, and even make rivers swell with excitement. The rain can turn the world upside down in an instant, leaving people and places in chaos. So, it’s important to stay safe and take extra precautions when the rain decides to throw a wild party.
