Jamtara is trying to get change the public image that it is involved in cybercrime by focusing on education. Jamtara is part of  Jharkhand.

Jharkhand is a state in eastern India that was established on November 15, 2000. It was formerly the southern half of the state of Bihar.

What is a Cybercrime?

Cybercrime is when people use computers to do things that are against the law, like commit theft, steal identities, or invade people’s privacy.

What is Phishing?

Phishing is a type of cybercrime in which someone pretends to be a legitimate institution and contacts a target or targets by email, phone, or text message.

What is the goal of phishing?

The goal of phishing is to extract sensitive information, such as personal information, banking and credit card information, and passwords.

The cybercrime initiative is being carried out in more than a hundred communities across Jamtara. A popular OTT platform aired a web series on how phishing has become very common in Jamtara.

  • The innovative initiative is called “Police ki Pathshala” (which translates to “Police’s School”).
  • The program’s goals include providing high-quality education and raising awareness about phishing activities.
  • The effort is part of a cooperative initiative between the district administration and the police.
  • Special attention has been paid to the places that are most affected by cybercrime.
  • The authorities hope to make youngsters aware of phishing.
  • Furthermore, make them a participant in developmental activities. For example, take help from professionals in order to get them ready for competitive examinations.
  • As a result of the campaign efforts, youngsters who participated in cybercrime, are focusing their efforts on securing careers in respectable fields.
  • In addition to this, the authorities e are also identifying additional paths of living like jobs based on agriculture.
