New NCERT Textbooks to Help Kids Learn & Grow!

Recommended for Education

Are you familiar with the NCERT textbooks? Textbooks are essential educational resources utilised in schools to facilitate learning.

The NCERT textbooks are set to undergo revision in accordance with the new National Education Policy (NEP) beginning in 2024-25. This seems to be a positive direction for everyone involved.

Important details

  • The National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is all set to revise its curriculum.
  • They are doing so in preparation for the new National Education Policy (NEP).
  • Further, the revised textbooks will be in line with the new education system.
  • National Curriculum Framework wants students to learn while keeping Indian roots in mind. They made a plan called Panchaadi for preschoolers. Panchaadi has 5 steps:
    • Aditi- Introduction of a topic.
    • Bodh- Understanding of the topic.
    • Abhyas- Practice of the topic.
    • Prayog- Application of the topic.
    • Prasar- Expansion of the topic
  • Importantly, the curriculum aims to make learning more holistic, skill-oriented and practical.
  • The new textbooks will also have a special focus on local culture, art, and heritage, making them more inclusive and diverse.

Wrap-up

This is a great initiative by the government and the NCERT to make our education more relevant, practical, and inclusive. Importantly, the new textbooks are expected to enhance the learning experience and deepen the comprehension of our cultural and historical legacy. We can’t wait to get our hands on the new books and learn exciting things from them.
