The beautiful hill station, Coorg. Today let us learn about another hill station in the Western Ghats. We are talking about Coorg (or Kodagu) in Karnataka, which is usually covered in mist.

What is mist?
Mist is like fog or a cloud of tiny water droplets.
Key facts!
- Coorg is not like any other hill station with typical tourist spots.
- The places to visit can be rightfully called “Natural Attractions”.
- Further, it has majestic waterfalls, such as Talakaveri, where River Kaveri begins as well as Abbey Falls and Iruppu Falls
- You can also visit Brahmagiri Peak and the Raja’s Seat, which is a viewpoint in Madikeri.
- From here you can watch one of the best sunsets or beautiful views of the lands below.
- And oh, you can also take a toy train ride here!
- There is also plenty of wildlife in places such as Cauvery Nisargadhama.
- Cauveri is an island formed by the River Kaveri. Moreover, you can also visit Dubare.
- Importantly, this is an elephant camp where you can also enjoy an elephant ride or help them bathe and eat!
- You can even try a safari ride in the Nagarhole National Park!
- The local people are called Kodavas. You may find it interesting to know that they are very good at martial arts.
- Moreover, one of the top specialities of Coorg is its coffee plantations. The coffee is grown and exported too.
