Ode to my mom
My mom is nice and sweet,
When the world has its back on me,
She astonishes me with a treat,
And my merits are what she sees.

Energetic, selfless, she is my guide,
With her heart created from pure gold,
She keeps me on the right side,
And teaches me how to be bold.

With her love enduring and pure,
And her all-time cheerful smile,
She makes me feel safe and secure,
In her own sui generis style.

To know my secrets, she is keen
For their solutions, she knows,
As she is my heart’s queen,
And like a rose her face glows.

My mom is loving and strong,
With her, I am happy as the day is long.
