Gmail’s new feature lets you add emails as attachments

Recommended for Gmail

Emails are a very common and useful mode of communication. Today, Google’s email service, Gmail, is one of the world’s most popular email services.

Google has now added a feature to Gmail that allows you to send other emails as attachments.

  • Previously, one could attach only documents, photos and videos, of a limited size to an email. If you needed to refer to someone else’s emails in your email, they could be only forwarded.
  • This was quite inconvenient because, then, there would be a long chain of forwarded emails, leading to confusion, especially for work-related purposes.
  • Now, with this update, one can attach the necessary email to your email, just like a photo. This would make it more convenient for the recipient to refer to the topics discussed within the emails.
  • Google will be rolling out this new update gradually by next month.
  • Once it is updated, all emails received will have a new “Forward as attachment” option in the three-dot menu. Users can either use the attach button when drafting a new email or can select multiple emails, and find the option of “Forward as attachment”.
  • There is no limit to the number of emails users can attach.

Additionally, with Gmail’s new update. one can reply to an email without starting a new thread. We just have to simply open a new draft and ‘drag’ the email (that needs to be replied) to the draft page.
