Recommended for Preparatory Grades

Hi there, keen observer! Let us tell you an amazing and true story about a super cool guy named Niket Dalal! He did something extraordinary that no one like him had ever done before! So, the Ironman triathlon 70.3 is like a big, exciting competition with three different sports.

First, the athletes swim in the water, just like a fish! Then, they hop on their bikes and pedal like crazy, going really, really far. And finally, they run like speedy cheetahs!

Vision Beyond Sight

  • Niket is a superhero because he is visually challenged, which means he can’t see like most people do. But that didn’t stop him! He decided to join the Ironman triathlon 70.3 and prove that he can do anything he sets his mind to!
  • In February, the city of Dubai hosted this awesome race, and Niket was ready to show the world what he’s made of! He had his partner, Arham Shaikh, by his side, supporting him all the way.
  • They both swam like dolphins, covering a distance of 1.9km. Then, they jumped on their bikes and cycled for a whopping 90km! Wow, that’s really far, right? But they didn’t stop there! They still had more to do!
  • After the biking part, they were not tired at all. They ran like the wind for 21.1km! That’s like running for a long, long time! But Niket and Arham were so determined and full of energy that they completed the whole race!
  • Guess how long it took them to finish the whole thing? 7 hours and 44 minutes! That’s like spending a whole day at school and still having time to play afterward! They were so fast, and guess what? They even had 46 extra minutes left after finishing!
  • Niket and Arham didn’t just complete the race; they also made history! Niket became the first visually challenged person ever to finish the Ironman triathlon 70.3. Isn’t that amazing? He showed the world that disabilities can’t hold you back from achieving greatness!
  • They didn’t win the first place, but they came in second in the category of differently-abled athletes. That’s something to be really proud of, right?
  • You know what made their success even more special? They didn’t do it alone. They had a fantastic coach named Chaitanya Velhal. He trained them for four whole months to get ready for this big challenge. It’s like having a super coach, just like in your favorite superhero movie!
  • So, my little friend, what do we learn from this fantastic story? We learn that with determination, hard work, and a supportive team, we can achieve anything we dream of! Niket and Arham showed us that even if things seem tough, we can overcome them and make our dreams come true.
  • And you know what’s even better? They did it all with a big smile on their faces! They didn’t let anything bring them down; they kept going with a positive attitude, and that’s just amazing!
  • So, the next time you feel like something is too hard, just remember Niket Dalal and his partner Arham Shaikh. They didn’t give up, and neither should you! Keep going, little champion, and remember that you can achieve anything you want in life! Just believe in yourself and never stop trying. You’re a superhero in the making!
