Being Happy: A Personal Definition

While the answer varies from one individual to the other, for me it means to live my life to the fullest, achieve all my goals and make those few people proud who matter the most to me. It is about enjoying the little things in life, be it be enjoying a plate of Maggie on a rainy day to travelling to new places that I always desired to visit.

Happiness Defined: Family, Love, and Pride

Diving right into a few more things that completes the definition of happiness for me are, the smile that I see on my mother’s face whenever I win an award in a debate, it is the pride that I see in my father eyes whenever he sees me working hard for fulfilling my dreams. It is the excitement I feel when my parents leave me home alone and I have got an entire house to go wild without a set of judgy eyes.

It is the love I feel for my brother when he decides to give me the remote to watch a show of my choice on the TV instead of the same old cartoon (Chhota Bheem). It is the tears in my eyes when I see an Indian winning a gold medal in Olympics. It was that definite moment when I was announced as the head girl of the school.

The Art of Happiness: Overcoming Challenges and Embracing Gratitude

Happiness is when I know I am self-confident and I have the power to face all challenges head on and win the toughest battles of my life even if it is little things like overcoming my phobia of cockroaches, lizards and lifts to fear of fire. It is the adrenaline rush I feel when I get to know that my friends are coming for a night stay. It’s getting an admission letter from my favorite top notch university and that too on 100% scholarship.

Happiness Unveiled: The Power of Small Joys

Now I know everyone reading this may not share the same opinion but it’s important to understand that these small things add up to become the most important and precious one in our lives. We should prioritize having fun in the present while we toil hard for our futures because happiness is being interested in the big things and being satisfied with the small ones. It’s correctly said that the art of being happy is the power of extracting happiness from common things in life.
