‘MERA SUNDAY, CRICKET KE LIYE’

Karthika Jithesh, 10th Grader from Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kannur, is running a series of poems on cricket and cricketers every Sunday with us. We are very sure, you all will enjoy and relate to the players and Karthika!

We started with Mithali Raj and now is the next one!

Jasprit, when on the field or in nets;

He is always at the death,

For the death of the opponent.

Boom always come banging,

With a special action in his hand,

And with certain plans in mind.

His spells are crucial,

But he does it with some facial,

To the batsman, as well as to the wickets.

He goes crazy at times,

But never goes too far.

Stumps fly over the boundary for a maximum,

When he bowls at his base.

So need not worry when he bowls at his limit,

It will just fly the batsman over the fence.

When on fire, he lits up the field;

Takes the innings in his hand,

To live that night for his country.

To forefront the team to triumph.
