Chronicles of the Enchanted Library: A Journey through Time

A Mysterious Encounter

I quickly packed all the library books in my bag that I had borrowed and started off for the library at once. There I met my best friend with whom I was studying and researching about different and queer creatures who are said to be extinct. We had already collected a lot of facts as there was a whole shelf of ancient books which told us about different species in the local library of our area.

The Strange Old Man

We both entered the magnificent library which was located on one side of the main road. As usual, we took our seats in the corner as it was the nearest to the ancient bookshelf and I texted my mother saying that I had reached safely. I went to the reception and returned the books we had taken last week. We took out some more books and made notes of interesting facts. Suddenly my friend got a call from her mother and said she had to leave and would meet me the next day.

Unsettling Encounter

I carried on with my work and it was easier to concentrate as there was only a single old man and the receptionist. The old man seemed a bit weird to me as he came to the library every day and sat in the corner and looked around, but I did not pay attention to him. As I was reading my book, I saw a shadow fell upon it. When I turned around, I saw that old man standing behind me and he suddenly came in front of me and sat down in the chair where my friend used to sit.

The Supernatural Revelation

He had a very magical aura and I felt quite different when he came near me. As I observed him properly, I noticed that there was a spectacle on the tip of his nose, his hair was completely white, and had sunken eyes. He told me something, but it was very hard to understand it and after trying a lot I understood that he said that he was the author of the book I was reading but I did not believe him as the book was written 100 years ago and how he became so old.

A Journey into the Unknown

Suddenly he touched the book and the letters started to move. A chill ran down my spine as the book was illuminated with golden light and it transformed into a key and a map. Then, as I looked up to him, he was no longer there. I got really scared, but then I opened the map and understood that it was from the library. I saw a cross on the shelf beside me. As I looked at the shelf carefully, I noticed a golden book which I had never noticed before.

An Unexpected Discovery

I slightly pulled it out and heard a loud sound. The next moment, the shelf opened, revealing a trapdoor. I saw a keyhole and inserted the golden key in it, and it opened. Right before my eyes stood a jungle, and as I walked in, I saw different creatures I had never seen before.

A Fascinating Encounter

I also understood one thing – they were the same animals that were described in the book, and I took pictures of them for proof. I saw red phoenixes, black puffy creatures, dinosaurs, and even dragons. It seemed to me that I had traveled back to the past. The trees and the vegetation were quite different, but no one did anything to me as I was invisible.

Returning to Reality

I checked the time and thought that I should leave. I found the door, and it opened. Even though I did not want to leave, I had to. When I saw my gallery, the pictures were gone, and the map and key turned into the book again. I kept it in my bag and could not wait to tell my friend everything and even take her to the past if it was possible, as I did not know where the man was.
