MY SOLEMN LIFE GOES ON

I am everywhere you look, no matter where
I have a plenty lot of myself here and there
But why am I not sufficient to you, Oh humans!
I have no one to pity me in this world of humour.

You can’t live without me because you need me
You will die without me because I am what makes you bright
Without me, you will even yearn for a drop of me
Your thirst is satisfied when you gulp me down

I am water, I am everywhere no matter where
I have a plenty lot of myself here and there
But you waste me, what a pitiful sight to watch!
I am tasteless but I am what you need the most

I am not a chump, but you are a clown
You trick yourselves by falling into the trap of foolishness
I am powerful even though I am delicate
I see it every day, no matter where

But no worries, there is always a second chance
With the UN’s goals for the future, we can always dance
Save me or I will die out, be my saviour
The future depends on you, Oh guardian!
