Autobiography of a (toasty)toaster

Hello, young friends! I am Toasty, a cheerful little toaster with a big story to tell. I’ve lived in many places and met fascinating people. My journey isn’t just about toasting bread; it’s about the warmth and love of the families I’ve been part of.

The Gupta Family – Mumbai

My life began in a cozy kitchen in Mumbai with the Guptas. It was a household filled with laughter, chit-chat, and the aroma of spices.

Mrs. Gupta: “Toasty, make sure the bread is perfectly brown!”

Every morning, I proudly served the Guptas crispy toasts, which they savored with their steaming chai. Aarav and Ananya loved to play around me, often arguing over who would push my lever down first.

Aarav: “Let me do it! I make the best toast!”

The Guptas celebrated every festival with gusto. During Diwali, the house was lit up with diyas, and I was adorned with marigold flowers. Those days, the kitchen was bustling more than ever, with guests coming over and the constant need for snacks.

The Rockstar – Bengaluru

Karan, a young musician, was my next owner. His apartment in Bengaluru was a stark contrast to the Gupta’s home. Music posters covered the walls, and guitars lay around. Karan’s life was hectic, with late-night jam sessions and concerts.

Karan: “Toasty, ready to fuel up for the night?”

Even in his busy life, Karan never missed his morning toast ritual. He said it gave him energy for his creative pursuits. I was his silent companion during songwriting sessions, quietly sitting in the corner.

Karan’s friends, a lively bunch, often gathered at his place. They would laugh, sing, and munch on the snacks I helped prepare.

The Geek – Hyderabad

Priya, a tech enthusiast in Hyderabad, was my next destination. Her world was filled with computers, gadgets, and books. Her apartment was smaller but cozy.

Priya: “Nothing beats coding with a side of toast, right Toasty?”

She would often work late into the night, relying on me for her midnight snack. I admired her dedication and hard work. Sometimes, she talked to me about her projects, though I didn’t understand much about coding.

Priya’s friends, mostly techies like her, were impressed by how well I complemented her high-tech lifestyle.

The Tycoon – Delhi

Then came the lavish lifestyle with Mr. Agarwal in Delhi. His sprawling mansion was a sight to behold. I was placed in a vast kitchen with shiny utensils and high-end appliances.

Mr. Agarwal: “We need efficiency here, Toasty. Let’s keep up.”

Here, I missed the personal touch but was proud to be part of such grandeur. Mr. Agarwal was always in a hurry, but he never skipped his morning toast. The house was often quiet, a stark contrast to my previous homes.

Once, during a big party, I was used to prepare gourmet sandwiches. It was a busy night, but I enjoyed the hustle.

Around the World

The adventure took a new turn with Nisha, Mr. Agarwal’s niece from London. She was fascinated by my journey and wanted me to be part of hers.

Nisha: “Toasty, ready for an adventure in London?”

Her excitement was contagious. I was thrilled at the prospect of seeing a new country, experiencing a different culture, and meeting more people.

Nisha’s flat in London was cozy and modern. She loved experimenting with different types of bread and toppings. Each day was a new experience, a new flavor.

Conclusion

From the warm and vibrant Guptas in Mumbai, the musical and lively space of Karan in Bengaluru, the tech-savvy world of Priya in Hyderabad, the opulence of Mr. Agarwal’s Delhi mansion, to the international flavors of Nisha’s London flat – my journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.

Each home left an imprint on me, shaping my story. I am Toasty, a humble toaster, but with a rich tale of love, laughter, culture, and companionship. Wherever I go next, I know I’ll find a way to bring warmth and joy, one slice of toast at a time.

And remember, friends, no matter where life takes you, there’s always a way to spread warmth and happiness, just like I do with my crispy, delicious toasts!
