The illuminati sign or the sign of providence is a symbol of a pyramid or triangle with an eye in it. This sign is associated with Freemasonry and the Illuminati.

The Illuminati and the Freemasonry is a group of individuals, who maintain secrecy, seeking to control global affairs. The Illuminati sign brought many conspiracies and theories with it.

The Illuminati

The Illuminati is a name given to groups, real and fictional. The name refers to Bavarian Illuminati a secret society founded on 1 May 1776 in Bavaria (now a part of Germany). The society was founded by Adam Weishaupt, a German professor. The society’s goals were to oppose superstition, suppression of facts, religious effects on life and abuses of state power. The Illuminati and other secret societies were outlawed with encouragement of the Catholic church from 1784-1790.

During the continuing years the group was vilified or talked badly of by other societies and religious critics who thought the Illuminati trained underground and were also responsible for the French Revolution. The use of Illuminati was referred to a group of societies which are claimed to be connected to the original Bavarian Illuminati. The Illuminati used symbols like the owl.

They used fictional names to cover themselves and hide themselves from people’s knowledge. They had complicated hierarchy which means the people were ranked by status. The Illuminati used spy like protocols to keep identities a secret. They promoted rational thought and self-rule.

Theories

But the Illuminati isn’t real right? Maybe, conspiracy theories would say otherwise. While people believe it isn’t real, theories suggest how the Illuminati became the bogeyman for the dark forces of the world.

Another theory took of after the second world war. The Illuminati conspiracy reaches the US. Lindsay Porter, a researcher, explains how things took a turn in the 1960’s when it started to parody the conspiracy. Two editors published a trilogy, The Illuminatus. Out of that, everyone started thinking who could be in the Illuminati, including Martians. Instead of getting rid of the theory, people started quoting the book.

Now people have reached such a level of believing who could be in the Illuminati, they have started thinking celebrities such as Beyoncé, Jay Z, Kanye West and many other celebrities who have made the Illuminati sign are a part of the Illuminati.

What does the Illuminati sign mean?

Theories have suggested what it could mean. But no one really knows who actually came up with the sign. The triangle is a symbol of Christian Trinity, and sometimes in earlier centuries god was depicted with a triangular halo. The rays of light represent the light of the god’s radiance. And lastly the eye. The represented isolation and for the viewer implying a living watchfulness. But the eye also goes way back. By way back, I mean to one of the earliest civilizations and religions.

The Sumerian civilization had sculptures and statues of people growing their eyes abnormally wide to enhance attentive watchfulness. But not only the Sumerian Civilization but also the Egyptian civilization. Some people believe that it was the Egyptians who really originated the eye. In the Egyptian civilization, the eyes painted on the coffin allowed the dead to see that afterlife. One of the most famous of the eyes in the Egyptian civilization is the eye of Horus.
